In the wake of recent events regarding the injustices against people of color, many in the Jewish community have wondered how best to respond to systemic racism and the violation of people of color’s civil rights. As Jews, one of the first steps we must take is to acknowledge that this is not an issue of solidarity, but of self-awareness.
Jews in ALL Hues invites the Jewish community to three meetings/workshops that unpack the intersection of race and Judaism, and their impact on the lives of Jews of Color in our communities.
Our goals are two-fold:
* Start a reparative process that acknowledges the necessity of combating racial inequality within Jewish communities.
* Make a direct connection to the struggles of other communities.
